What we do
Founded in 1988 by Jennifer and Tal Trautman from a love of Idaho’s Treasure Valley and a passion for the craft of gardening, Trautman holds over three decades of experience creating beautiful landscapes that thrive over time.
Trautman is proud to announce its recent partnership with industry icon, Sperber Landscape Companies. Through the Sperber Family, Trautman gains access to the resources of a national company while maintaining focus on localized service for our growing list of clients.
Currently comprised of multiple partner companies across the country, Sperber is the chosen service provider for luxury properties that include such names as Auberge Resorts, Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, Sheraton, Waipouli, Discovery Land, Wells Fargo, Fed Ex, and Pelican Bay.

From maintenance pruning to hazardous tree removals, our forestry professionals are dedicated to the health and safety of your trees and the protection of your property. We’ll walk your property with you, discuss your concerns, and assess each tree individually. After the initial free consultation, we’ll provide you with a no obligation estimate that’s right for your landscaping needs.
Because of our ‘Light Touch on the Land’ philosophy, all of the wood waste and biomass generated from our work is recycled and reused as landscaping bark and mulch, or as livestock bedding. Larger material is processed as firewood or sent to our sawmill for custom milling into usable lumber.

Idaho experiences several snow events and ice storms each year. Our roads and parking lots become hazardous due to icy conditions. Occasionally we encounter significant snowfall and heavy ice buildup. Regardless of the severity of the winter conditions, Trautman is prepared. Safety and accessibility is imperative to many of the facilities and properties we service. It is our expectation to deliver timely and thorough service relative to these weather events.
